there were at least 8 long-tailed tits simultaneously on the various bird feeders this morning - 1 more than previously counted.

it's possible their flock is larger but that some were alternating between hiding in the trees and shrubbery. Since I can't identify individuals, I'm limited in my estimates by contained visual area counts.

this afternoon (early part) seems to be more dominated by finches.

it might help if you open your eyes from your nap or look out of the window instead of at Netflix etc! But it's possible that the weather in your area has sent a lot of them into hiding.

there have been plenty of butterflies, including a small blue and an orange tip.
