In case you were wondering, Little Shop of Horrors has aged very well. Watching it is the best decision I made today

I love that musical. My daughter played Audrey her freshman year of college.

This is funny because earlier, the spouse and I were talking about politics and doctors and he said Rand Paul was a Dentist and I said we know those guys are sadists and started singing the song... >.>

The film originally had an alternate ending with Audrey II/Jr eating pretty much everyone for world domination. It's a bit darker and audiences at screenings didn't like it so they went with a happier ending. The Off-Broadway stage musical was darker version and Audrey II "ate" the audience.

Suze : spoiler alert! JK. I didn't know that, but that's intriguing. I'm glad it had the ending it did, although the off-broadway ending sounds neat

OhCecilia : Being a smaller theatre (and budget) they apparently did it in a low-tech way by slowly covering the audience in a creeping green light. I thought that was pretty creative.
