so I've started collecting BTS photocards (for those that don't know, a kpop album comes with a photocard of a member/the artist), and since there are so many albums and versions of albums, some of them have up to 28 to collect (7 members, 4 versions)! I'm nowhere near done, in fact I just started seriously collecting a couple of weeks ago, but

I like organizing them in my binder, I like finding a good deal (I paid under $9 for a slightly damaged one I have coming today!), and it's one thing in my life that I feel like I have control over, so it makes me immensely happy to slide a new-to-me card into its little holder in my binder

for example these are the same set (4 versions of the album but only one set of cards to collect)

I've been really lucky to find most of the cards I've gotten for $10 or less, and gah. it just makes me so happy

I'll have to double check which ones I have, but if I can find them you can have them! I love the albums and stuff but don't really get into the collectible side(mostly because if I collect anything ever I go too hard and I just gotta stop myself lmao)

and collecting is fun but I have to be patient and look for good deals, otherwise I'd spend way too much

thank god for ebay and mercari, usually people are good about fair prices, but I've seen some cards sell for as much as $200

Oh god this reminds me of the card of BSB and Spice Girls I used to collect in binders.

yeah there have been like, local photocard trades that the kpop stores here have run, but I've never gone to any because I've only ever gotten one duplicate of a card, and I traded it to a friend because she didn't have it lol

Eventually you'll have a bunch of duplicates and once you can socialize again it's a great way to meet new friends with similar interests. Highly recommend.

Oh what fun, would love to see your full binder! I don't have much of a collection so haven't got mine displayed but I love looking through them. I'm so glad you get so much enjoyment out of yours.

I have so many at this point, both official and unofficial, that taking photos of my binder would be like photo spam but I'll see what I can do once it's filled a bit more!
