the doggy door he'd have used to get out leads to the side and backyard and that's all fenced/walled in. there's nowhere to squeeze through

this asshole cat caught a cottontail rabbit, trotted back to our house, scrambled up a fucking fence, and squeezed through our doggy door

carrying that fucking rabbit the entire time
