Remember that BS about financial aid being denied because I have too many course credits? Apparently I get to go through it every semester.
Rowan
I hope that it stops when I transfer to a 4 year uni, at least. I'm going to start applying to places for spring 2021.
Benedict
that is some nonsense. good luck
Rowan
Sure is.

Also remember how I picked up the job at the hippie grocery because I wasnt able to get a student loan because my income was too low?
Rowan
Guess who still can't get a student loan
Rowan
Soooo I actually emailed them to see if I could get some details on why I can't get approved without a cosigned because I KNOW most college students aren't rolling in the dough and they can still get loans, and I have good credit, so.
Rowan
I'm baffled.
Benedict
... just wow

Ugh, I am unsurprised but very sorry. Navient has once again independently determined that I "graduated" and no longer qualify for deferment so if you want to burn all the loan servicers down together, I'm game.

Seriously though, good luck. The hurdles to get funded for school are absurd and terrible. My friend said she had a great experience and turnaround with the CARES grant, if that's on the table as an option for some intermediate support?
Rowan
Hmm... It's a good thought, but I don't think I can blame my financial aid issues on covid disruption. Nothing significantly changed, and if anything I got more hours at the hippie grocery. I just also am at the end of my savings that I'd been using to supplement the financial aid I'd gotten.

Fair. At a minimum, you could use it to fund software licenses that would allow you study from home more efficiently, if you happen to need any stats or design programs. But yeah, I didn't listen to her when she told me to apply, for the exact reasons you stated.
