Not only is it not exploitative, it's kinda the opposite.

In my opinion, you can't exploit yourself. If you want to make art from your own trauma, that's your own personal choice and nobody else's.

Yeah. It's working and utilizing your own experiences because they're your own. It'd only be exploitative if it were someone else's.

Thirding (fourthing?) what's been said here. Your experiences are yours. Creators draw from their own experiences all the time, and some of the most amazing comic work I've seen has been autobiographical.
