[velvet goldmine fic rec] Everyone go read this Jack+Mandy centric fic written by someone I adore that touches on so many reasons I love the magical realism of this movie.

there's too many quotable bits for me but just. this does such a good job of why I really think asking what's 'real' in this movie misses the point and every main character had to exist in the blurry territory betewen the real world and something more..well, fae, to be themselves.

(that would sound pretentious as fuck for almost any other fandom but for this one, it's just a fact)
