Well, I can rest a bit easier now. So glad the tri-state area govs have their shit together. I know Cuomo and Murphy aren't infallible but I'm pretty happy with how they're handling things.

I'm sort of surprised Oregon isn't on the list, but I guess even tho our case numbers have risen we are still not as high as other states. Also this is funny because Florida was bitching early on in this about all the people from NJ and NY going to FL and making more cases there, didn't they have a quarantine? Turns out if your governor stops counting ICU

Looks like the travel I was dreading next month is postponed, maybe - so, if it is, I can see if we can start my magnets earlir

beds and maybe even orders scientists to hide cases in order to open the economy . . . then it's not all these out of state visitors that are really influencing case numbers

Amber : what's hilarious is Disney is forcing tri-state folks to quarantine before visiting and I'm like... um bitches, our numbers are lower than yours? where's the logic?

We do have the most cases total, but we've been dropped down to just 100s for over a month now

I'm jealous, because we got a 55k boost in cases -today-

Amber : we're something like 10th most populated state BUT we're the MOST densely populated, so yeah, it's a pretty big deal. Our reproduction number is hovering between .7 and .6 too.

Because like... wearing masks and physical distancing works. GASP SHOCK

We have a fair number of people wearing masks, but not enough.... and well, beaches are prolly a crowded mess.

PS, this is WITH our gov being vigilant about the numbers and counting EVERY person. He came out and said that our death numbers are going to go back up because he is working on making sure we count folks we weren't before (like nursing home people) due to mishandling

luckily it's been mandated for supermarkets and essential stores like pharmacies. We only just re-opened retail in the past week and restaurants and personal care stuff this week and masks are a must in those places too

Oregon should have mandated masks much sooner. And she only mandated it for the most populous counties of the state. It starts today, so here's hoping it starts to make a difference
