[Plurk Poll] What's your favorite Pokemon Generation and Why?

the XY generation

one because the Fairy type was introduced, but also I just really love Kalos

Oh god that’s hard. That’s really hard. 2 or 5...

2 covered 2 regions, is highly nostalgic, and introduced breeding and girl trainers for the player!

5 I just really enjoyed the main plot of, plus a lot of my fave Pokémon come from Unova!

it's a tie between 2 and 5 for me; 2 because it was the first pkmn game I've ever played and it still blows my mind by having TWO WHOLE REGIONS to explore (something that we still haven't been given again to this day, sob)

5 because it's the only gen where the casual playthrough had some challenge to it, which I really enjoyed because it finally felt like I was achieving something instead of sweeping through everything and everyone

both of those also have great pkmn designs

it's hard to pick at this rate, nearly all the gens have something good about them

Diamond and Pearl, because Diamond was the first Pokemon game I owned and played in full.

XY is definitely a runner up, though~

of the ones I've completed a game of (1, 2, 6, and 8 ) it would have to be 6 (XY/Kalos). A small group of new mons compared to other regions, but so many good ones!

5, because I loved the plot and a lot of my favorite Pokémon are from that gen

Probably 2 because it had a lot of fun POkemon and I found the sheer number as the franchise went on got overwhelming

Also IIRC it was the last one where you could still catch everything WITHIN the two games of the generation without having to trade in across generations

I only really played 1 & 2 from start to finish so between those, probably 2.

It introduced a lot and improved greatly on the first, stuff like that.
