Into it: Not so much these days, but I still enjoy reading basically everything up to Act 6 and some of Act 6 itself. Fave female: Nepeta, natch. Fave male: It's cliche, but Karkat. Into it: Hell yes. Heaven's Feel is my favorite Fate anything, but Zero is right behind it. Fave Female: Obviously Iri. Fave Male: Yeah, yeah, it's Kerry. Fave Couple: Iri/Kerry/Maiya (don't you try and limit me) Overrated: Iskandar. Yes, he's really, really charismatic and fun to watch, but I can really only handle so much of the guy.
When it comes to love to hate characters that's largely Kirei for me (the times I don't feel like that are mostly Urobuchi's urgh tendencies coming through)

I used to rather like Gaius, but I dunno, I've just kind of lost my affection with him somewhere along the way. Inigo just always grated on me with basically all of his prominent personality traits.
I was kind of wondering if you hated Inigo more than some of the Tellius or other game's casts, but I wasn't going to quite go there. It's understandable if Inigo grates on you the wrong way.
Right, but like, Makalov feels like a cheat since he was so blatantly created to be hated. He's got no redeeming characteristics or even neutral ones, he's only on the good side because his sister bullies him into it. I can't seem to hate him as much as I can a character who the game seems to think is supposed to be charming.
The pairing of Astrid is entirely him mooching off her and taking advantage of her trusting natures and he's clearly only in the knights because he came with Astrid. He's done nothing to earn any of what he gets and the sheer comical level of his incompetence and awfulness ends up making him too much of a joke to get mad at.
Kind of like Lekain, there. The man's clearly an appalling monster, but he's such a massive slimeball that he crosses the line straight over into ridiculous and laughable territory.
Oh don't get me wrong I still hate him and want him to die. It's just not nearly as much as I hate a character who I find no reason to like but the game seems to keep telling me I should.
