My new air conditioner has a feature whereby it turns off all the fucking LED lights on its display until it gets its next instruction and you guys where has this been all my life

PLEASE, ALL HOME ELECTRONICS. HAVE THIS FEATURE.

That is great. We have a heater that we can't use in rooms where we sleep because the display lights are too bright.

Oof. Normally I'd just drape a shirt or other article of clothing over it in those cases, but...maybe not such a great idea with a heater
