It took me so long to finally finish reading this book. I'd say it's a good read if you're a huge fan of musicals and Harry Potter, since there were a whole lot references mentioned in this book (which was not a bad thing.
What I like the most about this book is that it talked about issues such as racism, homophobia, cultural diversity, family problems, in a quite straightforward way -- meaning there were circumstances that could actually happen in real life.
It broke my heart when someone random on the subway was being mean to Arthur and Ben just because they seemed to be a gay couple. Then I remembered what Arthur said when he first came to New York, that he thought the people here are more "open-minded", which had been proven wrong as the incident happened.
And, yes, romance. Hmm. Actually, I wasn't really into their relationship as much as I thought. They were cute together, but somehow I think this relationship is lack of depth and motives. Maybe I'm just not a big fan of the "love-at-first-sight" concept...
Perhaps the ending is better this way. Sometimes, we just need a moment to think about what's the best for us. It might be the best way to move on with your life.
