金斯伯格展現了逐步社會改革所需要的溫柔與耐心。 既得利益階級（在電影中為白人年長男性）多未有過被歧視的經驗，在他們的眼中，當代社會和過去相比，已經進步很多了。因此金斯伯格說，她常必須像一個幼稚園老師，一遍又一遍對這些「涉世未深」的有權者陳述社會現實，一遍又一遍地說明歧視是真的存在，以及應如何改變；一遍一遍地去教導有權者和社會大眾，性別沒有平等，改革需要繼續。
520新內閣上路，在42位一級機關政務官當中只有兩位女性首長（勞動部長許銘春、公平會主委黃美瑛），另外還有跨性別的政委唐鳳，男性首長比例高達93%，成為民主化以來最「男」的內閣。
內閣名單一出，隨即引來不少輿論批評，認為此舉明顯違反蔡英文總統自己的承諾（2012年競選時的政策白皮書）。特別是，四年前蔡總統也曾因內閣成員女性比例過低而承諾反省，但四年過去，同樣的場景卻如複製貼上般重演。
