apparently there is a podcast where ZB and the dude who played Turk rewatch scrubs and talk about it, and I cannot imagine a thing that sounds more egotistical
(My overriding impression of HIMYM is basically just, "how is NPH's character the least awful guy on this show?" because it's so obviously the opposite of the writer's intent)
the writer's intent is clearly that, like, Marshall is sweet and kind, and Ted is who you root for, and Barney is a jerk to contrast with the other two
and also, like, one of the episodes I've seen was the one where Ted was excitedly cheering at the opportunity to date rape a girl, going SCORE when she literally said she was too drunk to consent
also, were we supposed to find him sympathetic when he tells the mother of his child WHILE SHE IS IN LABOR that he does not love her and never will?also the mother must feel so special to be a stepping stone of death on Ted's way to finally bang Robin forever
