Hi, guys! I’m recovering. It’s been a rough week, but I’ve been home (surgery was on Monday, discharged on Tuesday). I had the absolute WORST experience in the recovery room. WORST 😢

The recovery room nurses were terrible to me because of my high dose opioid use. Like....they wouldn’t give me any meds. And the thing is...people with chronic pain who take chronic pain meds require higher doses of pain meds after surgery. I woke up crying, and I cried and cried and cried and cried....the entire time. Hours.

Then I got to my room close to shift change and the night was no better. Uffda...I thought I was going to lose my mind. And nobody would help me. Finally, OT came to see me in the morning and got me out of bed PRAISE JESUS! And, PT eval’d me and I got the fuck outta there.

Glad you are home! I'm sorry people suck.

Oh gods I am so VERY sorry. Surgeons in post-surgery can be even worse so make sure you are getting pain control from your regular doctor.

you must have felt pretty betrayed by your nursing sisters and hcw's. That sucks extreme ass and I am so sorry you had to go through that bullshit.
