[RL] [cw: Politics, Police] Gotta share this because it’s legit making me tear up today... something that’s giving me the tiniest flicker of hope that things can change.

My father voted for Trump. He’s conservative, and he’s always talked about how you always treat the police with respect. That kinda guy.

Couple of days ago, I made a post I was really scared to make about the nature of the protests and racism in America.

Today...

My father started sharing stories critical of the police response and speaking out on racism.

This is such a small thing amidst all the pain, I know.

But I can’t stress how surprised I am in the best way that he’s doing this.

I honestly feel like we could start having conversations and he’d listen.
