In that case the main things to avoid are just citrus, tomato, coffee, etc. You can squeak tasty seasonings in meals and such, just keep the spice mild and don't nuke yourself on the snack food.

Anyway what happened to me, and what I suspect may also be true for you, is that feeling kind of grody is so normal for you now that you don't really notice it needs to be addressed until it gets extreme enough for hacking stuff up. The drugs and getting rid of the worst offenders will tone that down and reset your normal baseline

another possibility is that all the other stuff you have been eating caused the stomach problems and eating ginger for the stomach exacerbated the throat and cutting out all of it will solve the stomach problems
