I walked outside and said hello while my window was open and he started talking to me

sunshine wandered off toward another house. I think he just likes my yard because we have chairs that are covered up by a...uh...ver..anda?? A wooden tent. >:C idk what it's called. It's like a patio cover.

today's pretty cloudy-- but I don't think it's gonna rain... >:C I only have indoor cats because I would absolutely p e r i s h if I thought they could get trapped outside or not come back home or bring something back in....mighty hunters >:C

The thing is, we’ve domesticated cats so much over the THOUSANDS of years of them being pets that most of their “wild instincts” just... don’t exist anymore.

They are not taught how to hunt by their mother cat. They are not taught how to fight. Thry have to learn that shit on the fly if they’re kicked out the door, and many times they’ll get killed by the advancements in technology (cars) or a larger predator

Like I.... had a friend who had 3 cats, iirc. Maybe 4. All of them were outdoor cats. And of the many cars she had, only one lived. The rest were either hit by cars or eaten by coyotes.... and her family STILL let them out after the first one passed away. I was supportive as best I could but
