8. weirdest thing eaten: hmm I can't recall in canon but for headcanon is probably something REALLY spicy, like something as part of a spicy challenge or ghost pepper spicy. while he likes to put hot sauce in others' food (like Mitsuba) I also kind of see him being like Kirei from Fate/ where he will eat something very spicy on purpose to make others
also given that Mitsuba is his sister he probably has a high spice tolerance anyways, whether it's through genes or the fact that he was probably raised on spicy stuff
30. sunrise or sunset: I say sunset only because he likes his sleep so he wouldn't want to see the sunrise. =P I think the Shinsengumi trains at dawn but it's shown he naps through it! Also Sougo is associated with red in merch lines + his sleeping mask so I think he would like the reds of sunsets.
56. Hogwarts house: I'd say Gryffindor in his own way. He is someone who can strategize and actually can have smarts sometimes but isn't necessarily intellectual. And dude thrives on conflict so not Hufflepuff. He always wants to be vice-chief, however it's not ambition for his own sake, but it's to stand by Kondou's side and be able to protect him.
He's aware he's on the good guy's side and is willing to put himself in dangerous situations for it, and even kind of likes the adrenaline rush. He's the vanguard of the Shinsengumi.
64. chocolate cake reaction: this is a cute question haha. depends on whose chocolate cake it is I think. If it's Gintoki's (or someone else who likes sweets) he'll quickly take it and eat it in front of him/them. If it's in the Shinsengumi headquarters he'll gravitate towards doing a prank like adding hot sauce or throwing it in Hijikata's face
5. deal with/react to pain: Honestly I think he tries to deal with everything in the usual deadpan matter like he does with everything. And I think in a serious situation, adrenaline takes over and he can fight on. But otherwise, as canon has showed us, he will scream and sometimes get...too honest? (e.g. the roller coaster incident!)
9. way they sleep: He's comfortable sleeping on the go since that's what he usually does. The little fucker. When he naps he likes to put his arms behind his head. I think he shifts occasionally in his sleep but when he goes to bed for the night, he sleeps on his side, almost in a fetal position
20. fears: This is a fun one because he likes to pretend he doesn't have any. Biggest fear would be losing Kondou, because his big brother/mentor figure is just that dear to him. Sougo's directionless without the reason to protect him. To a lesser extent, Hijikata and the other Shinsengumi as well, but it's more expressed as "hey only I can kill you"
Otherwise I don't think he necessarily have any big phobias. I think normal things that scare others can scare him as well, but like I said, he tries not to let it show. He's probably the youngest member of the Shinsengumi and has a baby face as well, so in general he's trained himself to react coolly to most things
13. reacting to feelings of guilt lol, what guilt? but jokes aside I think he tries to take it on himself and does things about it in his own way. I think it's really seen in the Rokkaku arc where the unexpected happened under his command. He basically protected his subordinate and played the role of the murderer himself.
All to protect his subordinate and to protect Kirie's image and love of her father. Also I still think he feels guilty about Mitsuba from time to time, although in this case he also projects some of that onto Hijikata because of how Hijikata hurt her.
44. why might someone love them? I'm guessing this means if another character should love them, but I think it maybe similar to why I love him...he's just a funny guy. I think if they have a similar sense of humor, he may endear himself to them. But also being able to see the good sides to him and the kid who never grew up
tbh that's kind of why I eventually want to play him against a character similar to Kondou, someone who's older than him and believes in him. of course nothing can replace Kondou for Sougo, but CR would them would likely not be as negative as like 95% of his other CR
66. how do they feel about sex? oh boy. But yeah considering the Love Choriss arc I see him as a virgin or someone inexperienced but also like...he obviously into a lot of S&M stuff so he's not a blushing maiden obviously. I think he still finds ways to get his kicks without necessarily getting sexual per se. But he probably views everything through
a BDSM-tinged lens, in that it's definitely other way to have power and control over others. Like even in his platonic interactions with people he considers his friends, he normally wants to come out on top
