Trump wanted to basically be king of the US, but his incompetence ends up reducing the power of the president

Republicans LOVE state sovereignty when Dems are in charge because it means they can blow off federal things.

They HATE state sovereignty when Reps are in charge because then the states fight back.

I learned SO MUCH about state sovereignty during this administration. It's actually really fascinating the powers they do and don't have.
