Did a few Postmates jobs tonight just to prove to myself that yes, I CAN do this.

I have no sense of direction or ability to estimate distance (thanks dyscalculia!), but fortunately the navigation systems in my car are pretty good.

But showing how this is being affected by everything: McDonald's flat-out closed its dining area indefinitely and was just doing everything by drive-thru. And the person who ordered the food wanted me to drop it at their doorstep without handing it directly to them.

Fine by me. I hate human interaction anyway, so this might just be the perfect job for me!

YUP. A lot of restaurants have flat-out closed around here and those that haven't are doing delivery only. So it is good for me!

I hope Postmates does like DoorDash in that if a restaurant is closed when you get there, you still get paid half for the effort.

It seems like you're gonna run into that a lot, so it would suck not to get paid for it.

idk, but I will definitely check on that. I mean they do have a big button to press on the order itself if it can't be picked up for whatever reason, so hopefully it does do something like that.
