I wonder if I could get more artist and nerd friends to join Plurk

I still need twitter for work/promo purposes but it's gotten so bad for queer + women artists

Even using my priv Twitter is dodgy atm bc I've recently found out some IRL friends I trusted and have known for years turned out to be harassers, and if I cut them off I'll prob be in the crosshairs next. It's super great!!!

If you mean the artists, big names aren't the ones getting harassed, just more marginalized artists
If you mean the friends, enh, it's middling. I don't think they've harmed anyone professionally yet, but they've caused some p bad RL distress

When someone's kind to me I foolishly assume they're kind to everyone

And the past few years have been a hard crash course in That Is Not The Case

I meant if the harassers were big names, actually, I always assume the marginalized artists are the ones getting hit, unfortunately

honestly an art and nerd community on plurk would be so cool

so far its really just the dreamwidth rpers, the second life modders, and taiwan

it’s a pretty good format for sharing art around too

and everyone can enjoy that one of the popular emotes around here is amal

i love the format, I love how easy it is to read conversations and favorte them to check back later

Yeah, I guess it doesn't help that there's not much here in the way of upfront image display
