so hmm, my Mom's friend has doctor relatives from China & they're saying a runny nose & cough with phlegm aren't signs of this virus, it's actually dry cough that is. take what you can from that, if it can ease some of the paranoia.

just sharing what we know now

That actually makes me a bit more paranoid. Symptoms of dry cough (quite common) and the symptoms of 2019 NCov (quite uncommon--and possibly fatal) are similar at first glance.

test kit pa rin talaga to determine. but at least if you have suddenly developed such symptoms you know it's not it

Faramond
Well, wouldn't that create a false sense of security though?

zerovoltage
well, like i said. test kit? there really isn't a sure way to know besides it. so if you start suspecting, go get checked. i think that's as far as having that knowledge can go.

Faramond
No, I am not referring to that, but this exact thing you said: "but at least if you have suddenly developed such symptoms you know it's not it."

zerovoltage
i guess? a little. but i doubt people get tested with minor symptoms anyway. if one feels worse than usual, i think it's responsible to get checked.

Faramond
Same stance, tbh, but I am concerned that the average incubation period is 5 days, which is kinda a bit short. One week of mild symptoms is my standard, three days otherwise (moderate to severe).

zerovoltage
almost the same for me

Faramond
sana lang all di ba?
