【武漢肺炎】威院病人確診急症室爆滿 醫護:個個都話自己武漢嚟|香港01|社會新聞
So the question is, will HK's medical system be able to handle the challenge?

「武漢肺炎」或另有未知新型病毒 重症患者不在官方通報名單 親述病情
HK gov has been unusually silent about the exact tests involved to identify the mysterious pathogen(s) until they have successfully confirmed the first case.

To my knowledge the HK teams are developing our own tests and my guess is that they have already realized about the possibility of more than one single novel pathogens running amok in this epidemic, with possibility of some originating from artificial source and they are working to identify the second and third (if present) virus/bacteria.

Yesterday there was a HKU professor saying that WuHan research teams had refused collaboration and he fled back acknowledging that the epidemic will be 10 times worse than SARS. No one would refuse collaboration when the suspected pathogen is known. It is quite plausible that some of the research animals were sold as food.

Healthy animals sold as food is OK most of the times but if accidentally some sick ones were sold out and they carry different types of pathogens that survive in dirty water and multiple species, the water sources in the wet market and wild animals nearby would become a lethal biological weapon.

It is unimaginable that people would just dispose of research animals, lives ones I mean, outside the lab, and let people pick it up for food. I am quite sure no one would admit they actually sell the rare animals.
