[CASTLEVANIA] I'm awake and having feelings about Alucard. Back In The Day, Castlevania III was such a trip to replay after going through Alucard's glow-up in Symphony Of The Night, aka the Second Greatest Game Ever Made (Just After Resident Evil 4).

We got SOTN the day it came out and I think it's still my dad's favorite game ever. He spent literal years getting to 100%. I still hold a lot of fond memories of him killing all the big bad bosses for me.

anyway I'm now actually getting to the second season of the anime, lol, and I had forgotten they just had my boy be shirtless.

Season 2 is so good!!!

That is what everyone has been telling me! I only finished half the first season when it first came out since my dad got sick right after, but I just finished watching Alucard's big dramatic entrance and I'm like. I have Feelings.

I'm thinking I have time to replay SOTN when I really, really don't. It's been three years? Since I last played? I got so far as the reversed castle and then my mind wandered. It's a long damn game, but so worth it. Alucard is such a drama queen in every game he's been in.

Spoilers for... Aria of Dawn? I think? But he's a hilarious in his corporate get-up. DID YOU DYE YOUR HAIR, AL? DID YOU?

For those of you who don't know but wish to know, he's been in more games than just Castlevania II and SOTN and I really want to say he was once almost seduced by an incubus, so confirmed disaster bisexual.

My favorite fucking thing about Aria of Sorrow/Dawn of Sorrow-era Alucard is how fucking stupid his modern alias is

like there are two possibilities here

either it's a game to him at this point, which is completely possible

or he spent hours poring over a kanji dictionary trying to find a good and meaningful way to render his name before he just went "oh FUCK this. fuck it. I'm Arikado Genya now. my new name is Has-Corners Illusionman because IT MIGHT AS WELL BE."

he is either trolling with the most Obviously Fake name he can come up with, or that was legitimately the BEST he could come up with, and I think that's beautiful.
