Neither David Bowie nor Jennifer Connelly were in Never Ending Story. They were however both in Labyrinth.

Heh. They mixed it up. That's the Labyrinth description. Never Ending Story movie is about a bullied boy getting stuck in a book.

Oh that makes sense. I still want a luck dragon so bad.

Yeah, that's just wrong. Both great movies, but sheesh!

They are both great movies but no where remotely alike.

Also, Labyrinth was original for the screen, whereas Neverending Story is a book adaptation.

Well, I do see some resemblance between them. Two children (one a teenager, but still) bullied (or feeling like it), escaping in a world of books, end up pulled into that world. Oh, and they both have to save a child (or a child-like being). And making friends along the way. But those are very general, and the specifics are quite different.

I haven't seen either in a few years. Might be worth looking them up.
