Here, buy yourself five scoops." As he gives her money for new ice cream AND MY HEART JUST MELTS

like that doesn't negate him giving a shit about the job but that IMMEDIATELY puts him above nearly every other marine we've seen to this point and it's so good

and he's just... a genuinely nice guy? Like when Luffy is going full tourist and mentions he wants to see where Gold Roger died and Smoker just shows him the way granted Luffy gets lost again anyway and just... AGH.

I'm also remembering how annoyed with Tashigi I was, but I know she gets better.

but the bottom line is that Smoker to this day remains my favourite character in all of one piece

this is an Antagonist as a good guy done so well

still one of the better fillers though (if y'all are familier with "early" one piece you probably know what I likely think the best filler, though it's far from limited to one episode)

honestly I think the weakest loguetown filler is Sanji's, it sucks to say but I'm just not as invested in the cooking contest

though the elephant tuna is fun

I'm probably gonna skip around to the bits with other characters this time, since I'll have Miro live-plurking for the full watch
