It's kinda hard to read but I love it.

Love the Monks and Jack acting like frenemies. Love the acknolegment of how they just do not pull their punches with him. And the talk about his parents is just really good.

A while ago I got it into my head I wanted to write some 10 years later fanfic, unfortunately I've been too drained by work to get back to it but a big chunk of it was Jack realizing that he sort of missed the monks and also hating himself a little for it because wow that's sad

I would love to see that if you do ever find the time and energy for it.

It is kinda sad that even with the occasional villain teen "friends", the closest thing he really has to friends that stick around, are the monks.

Also, I love that your adult Jack sounds like he's still kind of a dope. But he's still a villain and just more responsible (?) kinda. At the very least he has more realistic expectations because paying your own way in life is a bitch.
