ho'boy! well i didn't get to tags today even a little and only got 1 1/2 hours of sleep. tl;dr our roof sprung a leak while we were at work, came home to sofa and livingroom floor soaked. it's been A Day

it rained p hard all night, got home about 8 this morning and everything was awful lmao

we had two big fans on the sofa all day and thankfully our floors are all wood w a good finish so it wasn't the end of the world

since we rent we called our property manager and she sent out the maintenance guy asap, he found a good sized hole in the roof that he said was an easy fix

however

the crawlspace is FULL of rotted wood around the leak which has been apparently going on for a while and just now ate through the ceiling enough to start dripping inside

so he's going to call in some guys to gut half the crawl space and roof, patch it with fresh unfucked up wood, and fix the roof nice and pretty

he said it should be done by friday latest cause it's not a ton of damage, but we were up dealing with that all fucking day then i finally got to pass tf out and just forced myself out of bed

the sofa's still damp but we're gonna have to leave it for tonight and just deal with it after work, but it's dry enough i'm not worried about meldew or mold or anything like that, just a musky smell but hey they have fabric cleaners for a reason right

gonna shower, suit up, and head out. i'm still really super loving this easier job for more money thing, time seems to zoom by, but i keep having the boss guys in the office where i've been tucked safely away from the scawy nwight twimes cause re:girl&dumbass coworkers, so i haven't had my phone ;;

tomorrow our livingroom is going to be in shambles so i'm gonna try to hole up in the kitchen and have some computer time/tags/anything lol

between todays wild shit and yesterdays bday shenanigans with the kiddos, i haven't even gotten to really ready my latest tags and weh i have a mighty need to type :I

fingers crossed i'm alone or just w the shift sup tonight since he doesn't care about phone use, but how they were talking last night they'll be in again all week. i have a displeased

BUT overall i'm just really in a good place, and i'm cautiously happy and hesitantly optimistic things are going alright again now

aut had fun yesterday, saturday is her party, we've had her gift for months and i'm thrilled to give it to her, she's been asking for a guitar since summer and i've been planning this surprise for so long. unicorn everything, school friends, her cousins, pizza, and a guitar for her gift. it's gonna be awesome af

and i'm still so happy with work, even with the boss guys in the office making me feel like i need to be Extra Working while lit doing nothing for 8 hours, the days are a billion times faster, it's so much less stress physically and emotionally/mentally, haven't had to deal with douche mcfuck, sleeping better, feeling happier, paid more. it's perfect

but okay mostly i'm just glad that with the leak bs today we 1 found it fairly early (late-early??), none of our ample supply of electronics got any damage at all, the sofa SHOULD be absolutely fine, AND I MEAN MOSTLY I'M HAPPY WE RENT AND NONE OF IT WAS OUR FAULT SO NO MONEY OUT OF OUR POCKET cause i stressed hard on that until he came out and said we're ok
