Work and rl and apparently a bunch of kid shenanigans and a couple pics of said bday girl] I literally slept all day today and did none of the things I needed to whoops. Work is fantastic tho so probably gonna pop out some tags in a bit

To be fair this was my literal first ever lazy Sunday in several months if not longer so. And since the kiddos wanted to go to grandmas we could knock out without worry lol

Catching up on all that lost sleep ;; averaging 2-4 hours a night at best probably wasn’t healthy l o l

But work is incredible now and I can physically feel the stress is gone from everything the last few months

We’re gonna put the down payment on Johns temp dentures next Monday and our bills and late fees are all caught up and squared away after the last check. We’re still on shaky ground but with the pay increase for doing grave shift and the fat Christmas holiday pay we should skim to safety by the skin of our teeth lmao

I might even be able to pick up an extra shift on Christmas but I’m kinda hand wavy eh noise with it cause I wanna baby my babies

But tomorrow we’re taking the kids out to eat for autobots 9th bday thanks to my moms early gift of a gift card to ihop :> then Saturday my moms helping us throw a party at Pizza Hut for her

And I am sooooo excited about the party okay like. The last couple years we’ve only had a small thing w box cake and a scoop of ice cream at home and another similar thing at my moms

We used to throw her big parties with balloons and decorations and all the aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents in one place at the same time

Haven’t been able to do that since her, what, 3rd birthday? Junebugs never had a real party and he’s turning five in February

I’m so excited that my moms helping us keep our plans for aut and that we SHOULD be entirely stable to do one for jr in feb

We let her invite 5 friends from school and ofc my mom +her houseful of kids and Nana and uncles etc then invited Johns sisters + kids and husbands and obv his mother

So it’s going to be packed but I don’t have to rush it like I was going to originally!! Before, it was going to just be 10-12 and the kids were gonna go home with my parents so I could shuffle off to work by 2. NOW neither of us have to be ready for work until 11 at night and while we’ll be getting off right before the party and running wild to get ready

In time, we get to take them home and let her have fun with her gifts for a few hours before it’s back to grams so we can sleep before work

My mil got a crapton if unicorn decorations and the cake for it, my moms handling pizza for everyone and the party favors. I insisted on paying them back but my mom refuses to even listen (mil said she’d give us until tax season and see what we get back then decide how long we have to pay her back so.)

Anyways. It’s the first time she’s invited nonfamily to anything so she’s really hype. I just hope at least one kid can make it

But yea it should be fun times and I’m wildly excited and tbth I might cray at work idc I’m emotional over my baby being 9 already!!! It feels like just yesterday we were on the nicu begging for a miracle and now she’s a wild child with a heart of gold bringing me reasons to keep going with just her smile alone

Listen. I could talk for literal years about how proud I am of these kids so I’ll just say I’m incredibly emotional at work rn and filled with so much joy I might pop into a glittery cloud puff

boop : same and ty! I had to go to corporate the other day to get my OT pay but things are stabilizing finally little by little especially after that first months check

Also I am just so beyond belief relived we got all if the Christmas gifts and her bday gift back in like September/October because we wouldn’t be able to get a goddamn thing if we tried to get anything now. Last month really tried to wreck my life but we made it w help and tbth luck
