這是件很神祕的事。先是看見YT下在討論《The last door》系列BGM是否應該歸類於古典音樂，緣由是有些曲目聽起來類似於蕭邦。後來有人提出新浪漫主義比較接近，或許再加上一些印象主義。

話說這才點醒我，愛倫坡原分類為「黑暗浪漫主義」，和傳統哥德文學作品對照，他的作品更多著墨在討論人們心靈與精神，黑暗恐怖中更加帶出「人」的瘋狂（insaniy）、憂鬱症（Melancholia）和怪誕（The grotesque）。

"Gothic literature can be considered a subgenre of Dark Romanticism where the darker aspects of torment, sin, the supernatural, and the grotesque are increased; the genre has much more in common with horror."
