almost the full hour and a half to get into town by bus yesterday.

the first half an hour is for the buses not to turn up at all (after having to walk in the wrong direction from town to get to the bus stop on the only remaining route they run).

the next couple of hours are for getting stuck in numerous roadworks while still largely going the wrong way for the actual destination (and taking on board the long queues of other stranded bus users).

which left just a few minutes to attempt to run to the venue.

the progress along all the roads has slowed to a crawl (and a honk) with junctions being blocked (sometimes pedestrian crossings too as well as crossroad traffic lights and roundabouts) and drivers getting crosser and crosser.
