well the standard ones have a kind of water resistance rubber-ish coating on them

so instead of washing machine we have like three treatments that suck out the fluids depending how bad. the disposable ones are made out of the same crap as those paper gowns things people wear

and yup that is pretty normal. all the pressure in a vein squirts blood when poked and if you have weird acting ones they will squirt a bit more than normal
