PLUS ULTRA
New reveals from various conventions this weekend!
PLUS ULTRA
First, joining the recently-revealed Winter Soldier and Spymaster figures is a NEW figure of Crossbones, no longer relying on the massive Bane-like previous figure
PLUS ULTRA
He's still a large lad, but not swollen with steroid abuse.
PLUS ULTRA
It's currently being assumed that those three will be part of the Black Widow film tie-in wave, but nothing has been confirmed by Hasbro yet
PLUS ULTRA
But HERE is the meat and potatoes
PLUS ULTRA
We now have the complete (minus the BAF) reveal of next year's Age of Apocalypse wave!
PLUS ULTRA
Joining the previously-revealed Morph, X-Man, and Weapon X, we now have Sunfire, Wild Child, Dark Beast, and Jean Grey
PLUS ULTRA
PLUS ULTRA
Morph will be pulling double-duty as a passable version of Exiles Morph
PLUS ULTRA
Sunfire is VERY similar to the previously-done Hasbro AoA Sunfire, but different enough to not sting for those who have the high-demand figure
PLUS ULTRA
Dark Beast was kind of expected, given the brand-new sculpt Hasbro gave their new Beast figure earlier this year
PLUS ULTRA
While we don't know the BAF of the wave, the current safe bet is Apocalypse, with a second suggestion being AoA Sabretooth, given the inclusion of Wild Child and their tight connection in AoA.
PLUS ULTRA
Though given this assortment of characters, there's a good chance that Hasbro may have more than one AoA wave lined up
PLUS ULTRA
I mean, aside from Sabretooth, we have some other big players that aren't getting the plastic treatment here, such as Rogue, Magneto, Cyclops, and Storm; much-needed redos like Holocaust/Nemesis; and first-timers like Abyss and Sugar Man.
PLUS ULTRA
Still, no matter what the future holds for AoA Legends figures, this set is tight as hell and I am SO excited for it
PLUS ULTRA
I do hope that one of them comes with a more AoA-styled alternate head for this year's Blink figure, though.
