Qin Dynasty terracotta warriors from the 3rd century BC line up in Pit 1 at the Terracotta Army site east of Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. Each of the 6,000 warriors has an individual expression. Originally brightly painted, this and their weapons have decayed.
