[gross] [vibrating abt surgery healing]

so this one spot has been consistently draining yellow, and draining like... more... than the rest

it doesn't feel or look any worse than the rest of the incisions, and it smells WEIRD but not, like, foul

so i don't THINK it's infected?

In my experience, that's normal

but it's super gross and keeps leaking through the surgical bra and eugh.

My recent surgeries have all been robotic, so the experience is slightly different, but when I asked about it, it was always the hole most of the instruments went through, so maybe that was just a higher stress area during surgery

clear fluid that's pinkish/yellowish is normal iirc

what worked for me to minimize leaking through cloth was putting a maxi pad there, honestly

i have seen very tiny amts of green tinge on the dressings in that area too, but only when changing old ones...

something to tell your doc at at a followup, but unless it smells real bad probably not concerning enough to make a special trip

in the meantime I guess I'll just keep on keeping it clean and not wig out

in my personal case, the green tinge on dressings was just the yellow opaque gooey drainings getting old
