I was today years old when I learned that the Olson Twins were playing the same character on Full House

all this time I thought they were playing twins

(I never watched it, but due to the proliferation of 'Olson Twins Do A Thing' movies I thought that's what was going on in the show, too)

that show would have been a wreck if there were two michelles aeiosfdghh

I was homeschooled! We were allowed an hour of Saturday morning cartoons every week, an hour and a half if me and my brother could agree on a third show, and an hour a night of 'family' TV, which basically meant whatever my folks wanted to watch

and like, we watched Simpsons (from its origins as a short on The Tracey Ullman Show) and In Living Color and... uh...

some other things?

Roar was a big one for me and my ma', Earth2, Alien Nation, Max Headroom. Dad would let us watch X-Files, but mom wouldn't unless he was actually watching with us and not on the computer

(I was 11 when it premiered, my brother would have been nine, so it was deemed 'too scary' and I mean, she wasn't wrong)

and like, Boy Meets World and whichever one had Urkel in it? NO idea what those are/were about

we weren't a TGIF family

(how do I know that's even what it was called? Because of the ad campaign and friends whose parents did plop them down in front of the tv for 3-4 hours a night)

I didn’t get to watch most things that were popular tbh. Full house etc was considered Christian enough to get by (idek)

we weren't religious at all, it was just what the parents these days call 'screen time'

we didn't have a lot of it

see also: never had a nintendo/sega/console of any kind, though we did always have a computer (good ol' Commodore 64!) because there were educational games available, but even then? Only an hour at a time

(but also I now want an all-angel family sitcom thanks to that typo, so that's something)
