god have you seen the shitfest from Anime Matsuri, I've only seen bits and pieces but apparently it was just an anime shell for a really creepy event with already shitty practices
It's absurd to think Hero Hei, Nick Ricketa, That Umbrella Guy and some others actually were PAID to host a panel about the Vic situation in SUPPORT of Vic.
from what I've heard of their reputation I'm not really at all surprised, but the fucking. lawyer he hired signing autographs really fucking baffles me. and then someone selling merch feat. Marzgurl abuse?
Mind you, I found it MESSED UP that Monica Rial couldn't sign autographs at Kameha Con in comfort because Vic was there and the con organizer sided with Vic over her.
I mean AM heads are also responding to complaints on their facebook with asshollery so what can we expect from "The second largest anime con in the nation"? (Anime cons self report. Either the venue is massive or they're lying by how the pictures looked.)
Much of the crazed Vic stans' arguments seem to lie entirely on what Minnesota LOLyer feeds them combined with picking out small 'contradictions' on the other side or assuming someone who did bad thing and had KickVic on them means that the movement is a lie
i love the person who was like "dON'T YOU HAVE REAL WORK TO DO" and, as someone who works with law people, you'd be surprised at how much spare time you get
Apparently one of the lawyers got a Cease and Desist from the Duck Dynasty people for selling "Fear the Beard" merchandise, just for an extra dose of WTFery.
> actual lawyer: that's not what malicious intent means
