I have been thinking about picking up Caroline Penvenen once I read the Poldark books since I...haha. Have a million icons of her already for Katrina. >.>

FUCK THERE ARE SO MANY OPTIONS i'll stop there but if you want more questions at any point, i'm just sayin
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE ASKING SO
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
C, 1 - She says "Don't spoil it" a lot to Treavor. Across the PSLs, she's got a habit of saying "I told you" and then whatever it was she said.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
she's a big I told you so-er, but not in a malicious way, and not when it's like. an adverse situation. Usually when it comes to romance. I TOLD YOU I LOVE YOU don't you rememberrrr
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
5 - GAMES oh my gosh she loves playing games, playing pretend and going on adventures. That will always get her laughing very merrily. Sometimes a joke, pun, or turn of phrase will catch her off-guard and she'll laugh out loud, too. (See the whole "Haven't I been obvious" conversation)
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
8 - deep down she wants to be seen as capable, competent, and an equal. But since that isn't achievable in her perception in that time period, being seen as a flirt and intimidating is just as good. :c
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
17 - Really she's kind of young to have a philosophy, but she does want to live a good life. She thinks that's the best anyone can do is just. Survive, be the best at what they're fated to do.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
27 - Being mollified by being told she's beautiful (ie you're too pretty for thinkin') is kind of grating to her. She super dislikes being ignored, dismissed, passed over, brushed aside, etc. Badmouthing one's spouse in public drives her up a wall. Slurping soup.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
Someone who says 'um' too much.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
Being kissed when she isn't interested in the individual. That happens a lot.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
:V
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
e8 - Oooo cut wheat, baking bread and warm pies, Baltus' tobacco, general barnyard odors, and, unpleasantly, gunpowder.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
e9 - Her BEST childhood memory is of Brom teaching her to catch frogs. Obviously her childhood was sort of a lonely one, and marked by fighting from the war, but there were sporadic moments of fun with Brom and other local children that kind of made it not so terrible. In my mind Brom is just a little older, so you have this bigger boy taking her out--
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
not to do her harm but to teach her something the boys get to do.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
Her worst childhood memory is when an injured soldier was brought into their house, and she was told to help fetch and carry hot water, and be in the room while his leg was amputated.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
not great.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
That's tied with the memories of hiding at Raven Rock during raids, or in the root cellar with her governess while her mother defended the house, and her governess telling her that the Hushman would get her and eat her if she screamed.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
Her strongest memory is much more mundane. Sitting in her father's study and listening to him talk with other farmers while she pretended to play with a doll.
ᴇᴠɪᴇ
She can remember a lot of the scene, right down to what was worn, how things smelled, the quality of light. But she doesn't remember which doll.
