bay wreath - Sayori: HMMMM i honestly think it's probably forming & finding joy and purpose in the Literature Club despite her severe depression it's not big or grand but it has made her really happy and a reason to get up and keep going in the morning is something to be proud of...

especially since it gave Yuri and Natsuki a place to be comfortable too...

in Balance, probably helping with the whomping willow!

bird’s-foot trefoil - Sayori: i don't see Sayori as a very vengeful person at all so i think it would take a lot to make her seek revenge, and if someone did push her to that point i think she'd see it as justice rather than revenge bc it'd have to be something pretty bad to get her to retaliate

like someone would have to go out of their way to be exceptionally cruel to her friends for her to act vengefully

however, on a superficial level such as, perhaps, a prank war, any practical joke warrants retaliation on a similar level and she would act thusly. in the name of war and also fun

that's why i thought it would be an interesting question to ask because... yes, she didn't strike me as a particularly vengeful sort

she is a good

as for how far she'd go in retaliation on serious revenge i think it's kind of hard to say, it'd depend on her mental state and development up to that point... since she perceives herself as basically just a normal high school girl she doesn't have a lot of experience with violence so i don't think she'd really enjoy hurting someone in revenge

i think she'd just do what seemed necessary to make sure they did not hurt someone again

yell at them threateningly maybe

to say without spoilers, she DOES have a sort of vindictive line at the end of DDLC but she is also uh not in a normal mental state at that point so i think that is just more a demonstration of how far something would have to go to get her to act that way

carnation - Sayori: hmm, when comparing her to the other girls in the Literature Club, i think the main thing that sets her apart is that she didn't really have a pre-established love of literature like the others! she discovers over the course of her route how much she enjoys writing and how much it helps her

plus she's much more outgoing than basically all of them LOL monika is personable but not in the same way sayori is

i also think she's the most relatable in a realistic way but i feel like that was by design

clove - Sayori: SAD ANSWER but no i don't think she believes that i think she WANTS to believe it but viewing it through the lens of her own life experiences, she's sure that she's unlovable because of her problems, and so if someone did love her then that love wouldn't survive finding out how messed up she is and dealing with that bc she'd just

drag them down...

i think if she saw someone ELSE'S happy relationship she'd be able to believe it! but she doesn't believe it for herself

daffodil - Sayori: in canon? no she never had a chance at a fresh start LOL but i sort of did that when i apped her to Balance so...in-game...yes... i'm not really sure if she'd take the chance at a fresh start if it was offered, i think it'd depend heavily on her canon point

i think in the default end and in Special Good End she probably would, probably also in her easter egg bad end out of desperation

but normally i think she'd simultaneously have a hard time with the idea of starting over without her friends and also believing that she even deserves a fresh start at life...
