The core dynamic between Akame and Kurome was so strong

One sister woken up to the evil she works for can no longer ignore her conscience

The other might have gone with her but a physical drug dependency keeping her alive made her unable to follow

They love and hate each other at the same time and it’s just

It’s so good

siblings who love and hate each other at the same time and have swordfights about it

(this is why I take the story in Devil May Cry seriously)
