Gil, anime: He's tried, you know? He's tried really hard, for Mai first and now Thorne, to be genuinely into anime but it just. doesn't click.

he doesn't hate it, or it would have been a lot harder for Mai to talk him into watching FMA:B twice now, or Ranma 1/2 with Thorne after Mars. he even enjoys it, like, some of its pretty fucking cool. but it's not his thing.

Barry, leather: The armour scratches where his sleeves are too short, and pulls uncomfortably tight around his stomach - it's not really made for someone his size, maybe it's elven - and there's a dozen other small ways it doesn't fit that he's aware of, but he doesn't know how he knows that. and it clashes with his jeans, which is a petty complaint

but also come on. he's already bitched to Gundren how his AC is almost better without the armour than with, but he says he's certain this is the spot where his family treasure is hidden. so, Barry just bears with it. it's not like the coin's told him otherwise yet.

but really, how bad can gerblins be?

Bismuth, the huns: Bismuth has not heard of the huns; she was bubbled during the entirety of their conquests

which makes trying to form an opinion of them pretty tricky; it'd largely depend on how they're explained to her, I think

I think she'd love the training sequences first of all or berate them for any inaccuracies
