[The Whole Plate] In addition to the vidya, I also read through some of the EarthBound-inspired cookbook, aptly named Mother's Cookbook. It is incredibly charming, gods.

Bloodstained: CotM: Completed my second run through on Normal. Now, I'm attempting to beat the game with dickhead Zangetsu, who kills his potential allies in order to gain special abilities. Despite the buffs, it makes the game a lot more difficult. It's still plenty fair though due to its well design, and I appreciate that.

Kirby Star Allies: Continuing my quest to complete "Guest Star ???" mode with every character now that I have the Three Mage-Sisters unlocked. Completed the game with Chef Kawasaki, who is playable for the first time ever in this. I think that he could have used a lot more moves, but he's plenty enjoyable due to his strength and healing.

An excerpt that I found particularly great:

"Sometimes things can get lost in translation. A lot of these recipes actually originated in Japan and when they were translated and localized, things got changed around a bit. Before my s n set out on his adventure, there had been rumors of weird octopus statues blocking paths.

"However, after he set off, I started seeing reports that those same statues were actually weird pencil statues. This seemed like a very bizarre and sudden change. Well, those statues weren't the only things changing. The culinary world also received a bit of a shake-up when he started his journey.
The Raƶe
"Luckily, he kept running into this really helpful man named Tomato who informed him of some fo the weird things he missed out on. I'm going to try and talk about all of them here, as well as how to recreate them yourself using recipes in this book when possible."
