We’ve been having issues with a web crawler and our firewall proxy for MONTHS

And I figured this out early on and sent a fairly detailed help desk ticket about it

just to get “yeah that’s the firewall” and that’s IT

So Jonna has been pestering them for the past few months in an attempt to make progress.

so yesterday one of the EY guys (they’re basically an external firm we hired as IT lite) comes over to me like well how are you SURE it’s our firewall

me: the audit generated over 300 pages of junk data, all of which are incapsula error pages

So he storms off because how are they supposed to find the problem when the audit runs every two weeks

and Jonna reaches out to the sales people who got us into this and they point us to support

ONE NIGHT LATER AND WE HAVE A RANGE OF IP ADDRESSES TO WHITELIST

also HOW WAS THIS SO IMPOSSIBLE FOR EYIT TO LOOK INTO
