it depends, i think. their subculture palette is SOOOOOOO dusty, but i still like the colours and it blends well. my friend has their uhhh... the one with greys that came out before riviera
nothing wrong with that! originally i only watched tati, there was something i just found relaxing about her videos? like even before i actually got into makeup i was watching tati because it was just something to put on in the background and i enjoyed what she had to say
even then, if i want something similar to the abh electric i'll reach for urban decay's lithium from the moondust palette. it doesn't have the same green cast, but it usually gives me the look i'm going for for a lot less effort
lmao i started collecting in 2010 but didn't actually start USING anything until like i mentioned above, the last few years (and yeah some of the early stuff is retired because. yeech)
yeah in highschool i didn't even do foundation and powder, i refused to conform to gender expectations just because all of the other girls were using makeup
but i was confident and happy in my own face without adding anything to it or, in my past mind, 'covering it up' so i didn't really like or use makeup save for special occasions
but then it became this shift where it's like, now i feel makeup is more empowering? because it's something I control and I can look amazing and I look amazing without it! But it's fun to just, enhance and really make things POP and i love that about makeup
i still choose not to wear makeup to work more often than not- I work in a liquor store and look plenty professional without it and also gross old men hit and drunk hobos hit on me if i do my makeup so. . . ew. . .
good to know, all of this
