Today's the 1 year anniversary of my surgery. I'm trying to act like it's any other day but it's not.

I hope in years to come, it becomes something to celebrate. How are you doing?

I know it would be better to not have had cancer in the first place. But I am SO glad it was found in time to treat and give you a chance. Hope you find peace with that too.

Happy Anniversary and I think that if decades from now that if today was just another day that would be fine.

And I hope we have you for yet another year, and another and so on. Thank you for being brave enough to have that surgery. You are important!

Thanks, everyone. I spent an hour with my journal writing down everything I could remember. It helped a lot.
