roy's main character arc is various acts of rebellion against the military coup and his quest for democracy in amestris. he frequently disobeys what he's supposed to do in order to protect the people he loves very much, and while he's pretty highly ranked, the people above him tend to recognize that roy probably won't do as asked. lmao

she's currently struggling with her identity and who she is as a person, but in the end, she likes that people are afraid of her, and she can defend herself, and she is her own weapon.
she feels powerful as the wraith, and she demands respect, tyvm. but she also carries a lot of guilt for her actions and is a very religious smol bean.
