They pretty much copied his whole makeup design barring the changes for the actor underneath it.

Here’s my take. I love Perlman’s Hellboy. I also love Mignola’s Hellboy. This is Hellboy done by a new artist, and I expect to love it as well.

Ron Perlman is just so very Ron Perlman, that's the only catch.
