that article mentions Jessie Pridemore, who mentions her own horrific encounter with him as a consequence of her being raped by another person in the industry
she explicitly says that she doesn't want to say the name of who did it to her, because high up in the industry plus all the other fears that come because of rape culture...
todd haberkorn is the guy and he posted a thing on both facebook and twitter telling ~his side~, and how they were both drunk and he thought it was ~consensual~
this woman was terrified to tell the name of the man who violated her, terrified of how even just talking about it would smash back into her and affect her career
I am totally not in a super good place to chime in on this but I am keeping up and absolutely fuck everyone giving him asspats like he's being brave or something. if I wasn't battling my own existential demons I'd be livid.
> Some dipshit: I really feel for you, man, I've had a lot of friends both female and male who've been falsely accused :C > James: yeah but FUNNY HOW NO ONE FUCKING ACCUSED HIM OF ANYTHING
I refuse to read his tweets because I'm skeeved out by the whole business, but I like how a commenter pointed out that Todd keeps going EVERYONE WAS ADULTS as though age was the problem and not, you know, being too drunk to give consent
So basically a strawman argument that Jessie being an adult means what he did to her while she was super drunk was TOTALLY CONSENSUAL because it's not like being super drunk makes informed consent impossible!!
And it's DEFINITELY not like taking someone who is super drunk off alone with you and having sex with them is gross and sketchy, regardless of how they feel about it then or later!
Bad thing is Todd still gets a fair amount of work, I’m pretty sure. Up to and including the main character of Fairy Tail, which Funimation is still in the process of dubbing as it airs.

Since Todd is cool with sharing private communications without asking permission, here:
