the chronicles of Globe customer care: >Me calls with the intent of surrender and extend contract >agent points out the new contract is 5mbps and 400gb monthly cap >she also points out that our current plan is 10mbps and 100gb monthly cap >Me goes "Uhhhhhhhhh" >She helpfully offers the fact that we are eligible in our area to have our line upgraded to VDSL
>I go "Oh. no fees?" >She says nope >Okay then let's just do that and see how much it improves the connection and we'll get back to the plans some other time >STATUS QUO MAINTAINED
medyo iffy na lang talaga ako sa mga offerings ng mga telco so I've resorted to reading the fine prints and demands what's written or face legal consequences.
i know right. Pero yun nga with the third telco being a ways away we're like "...well, it's not as if we have any complaints with the actual Globe connection so why not just extend for 2 more years and maybe then the third telco would be up and running and we can reevaluate options"
yeah, actually area dependency naman yung mga telcos and I don't buy that 3rd telco I've actually sad na yun yung nakuha nila. We will lose the last thing from a total hack from Chinese dudes with that
Kinda excited with the Converge back here in the province, they've mostly finished laying the fiber cables around the city, only thing left to do is deploy the substations for it and be ready by late January.
